Being the highlight of Saturday night, the world premiere of Ondřej Soukup´s film music arranged into concert suites will provide the audience with an amazing multimedia experience – a large screen projection of original cuts of the most popular scenes from the most famous films containing his music. Accompanied by the symphonic orchestra, he will perform the melodies of Kolya, Empties, Dark Blue World, and An ambiguous report about the end of the world, The Devil´s Mistress, Requiem for a Maiden or Accumulator 1.
Ondřej Soukup is a music composer, producer and holder of CFTA Awards for Best Music for the films An Ambiguous Report about the End of the World and Dark Blue World. Throughout his career, he has composed music for dozens of Czech and foreign series and films. For twenty years, he has been working closely with Lucie Bílá, for whom he has composed more than 70 songs and arias. In 1993, her album called Missariel was awarded with five Czech Grammy Music Awards. His most interesting music projects include music for the ballet show called Šachmat and the oratorio Zahrada rajských potěšení, inspired by the life of Hieronymus Bosch. He also produced music for four Czech musicals – Joan of Arc, Elixir of Life, Robin Hood, Mauglí and Masha and the Bear Ice Revue.
